DOSE FM is an independent, non-profit radio station dedicated to the broadcast of experimental signals. Active online (https://dosefm.ch) and occasionally on the FM band, our platform operates as a sound laboratory—a space of freedom and exploration for all forms of audio creation. Our aim is to offer open transmission: unencrypted, unfiltered, accessible to everyone, without tracking or algorithms.
Our operating model is based on pooling resources, sharing, and an open-source ethos. Although we broadcast live approximately once a month, we want the majority of our content to come from our community. If you wish, send us your sound creations!
Types of content sought :
- Field recordings, soundscapes, on-site recordings.
- Podcasts, interviews, readings, radio experiments.
- Music tracks, concert recordings, DJ sets, lost tapes, sound experiments.
- Short or long formats, narrative or abstract.
Use and broadcast :
- Broadcast is semi-random: unlike “on-demand” platforms, you must be tuned in at the time of broadcast to listen.
- Content will not be edited, except to ensure good listening quality.
- Content will be categorized where relevant for scheduling purposes.
- All audio content will be broadcast on our website, randomly on daily rotations.
- Only live broadcasts may be broadcast on FM radio and replayed via an archive system.
Technical specifications :
- Audio files must be accompanied by a title and artist name. If not provided, the file name will be used.
- A short description of the content is welcome for internal use.
- No duration limit.
- Preferred file format: WAV 48 kHz 16-bit (or at minimum MP3 320 kbps 44.1 kHz 16-bit).
- Transfer method: SwissTransfer or another file-sharing service, with the link sent to dosefm.broker646@passfwd.com.
Ethics :
- DOSE FM broadcasts only self-produced and ethical content.
- Any discriminatory, violent, or harmful content will be rejected.
- We are committed to maintaining an inclusive, respectful and safe broadcasting space, grounded in the belief that the airwaves are free — and must remain so.
- No financial compensation is provided for broadcast: by submitting your files, you consent to their free broadcast, without copyright claims.
